Chandrasekhar venctaraman was born on 07 November, 1888 at thiruvanaikkal. He completed his school at age11 year. After completing school he get graduated from Presidency college,Madras. After completing education he took charge in financial services of India.
In living Kolkata, in evening time he start working according to his interest in Indian Association for Cultivation of Science which was to set up by Dr. Mahendra lal sirkar. In his interested work Vibration, variety of musical instruments, harmless waves, diffraction etc. were included.
In 1917, he was given the post of Professor by the University of Calcutta.In the year 1924, the Royal Society of London elected him Fellow for the Society and in 1930 his work; They are now conferred with the Nobel Prize for Raman - effect.
